Job Title: Site Safety and Health Officer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Site Safety and Health Officer to manage and run safety protocols onsite. This role involves working on dry docks for the Navy with an estimated project value of $200M. The position requires certification with OSHA 30 and EM-385.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce safety protocols onsite
• Oversee safety measures during dry dock operations for the Navy
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 30 and EM-385 standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
• Report and address safety incidents and violations
• Collaborate with site management to improve safety procedures

Essential Skills

• OSHA 30 certification
• EM-385 certification
• 5 years of experience as a Site Safety and Health Officer
• Experience working on federal bases
• Knowledge of federal construction and construction safety
• Proficiency in construction computer software

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with USACE protocols
• Familiarity with quality control measures (QCM)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Work Environment

The position requires onsite work from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, primarily on dry docks outside. Construction attire is required. The company offers a small, family-oriented environment with great pay and benefits, including a company vehicle depending on the role, 2 weeks of PTO, and 10 holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00
