Job Title: Site Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Construction Site Superintendent with expertise in multi-scope and envelope repair to join our team. As part of a Commercial General Contracting Company based in Surrey, serving clients in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, you will be part of a team committed to clear communication, honesty, creativity, respect, and exceptional customer service. Our projects range from $100,000 to $10,000,000, including commercial, light industrial, and institutional types. The upcoming project involves an envelope repair for highrise townhouses, which includes replacing windows, doors, and siding, along with roof repairs, complete interior re-piping, and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Manage site production safely, on schedule, and on budget.
• Manage and coordinate on-site construction plans, including scheduling, site staff, subcontractors, activities, and logistics.
• Supervise and mentor site personnel.
• Demonstrate and promote company values.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• 10-15 years of residential/commercial construction experience as a site superintendent.
• Experience with BC Building Codes and regulations.
• Experience handling projects up to $10 million.
• Experience in managing full-cycle projects with a strong focus on adhering to project schedules and milestones.
• Valid BC driver’s license.
• Sound knowledge of procedures, methods, conditions, and documents related to building in BC.
• Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, contract documents, drawings, schedules, and specifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with envelope repair is preferred.
• Experience working on occupied buildings is preferred.
• Be a proactive problem-solver who can manage difficult situations with positive results.
• Demonstrate competence in safety, people management, and project execution.
• Ensure high standards of ethics, integrity, and team spirit.
• Communicate effectively with staff, trades, consultants, and clients in a clear and professional manner.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility for overtime. The projects are located in Richmond. This role offers extended benefits, promotes a healthy work-life balance with minimal overtime, and includes staff events once per quarter. The company is known for its family atmosphere and strong company culture, with RRSP matching after one year. There is potential for car and phone allowances.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.70/hr.
