Job Title: Software Developer

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Software Developer to join our team in the Williamsport, PA area. The Software Developer will work to create, update, and maintain software applications for internal use.

Responsibilities

• Write, read, and troubleshoot code.
• Create and maintain in-house programs that interact with our ERP system’s database.
• Create and maintain SQL scripts.
• Create and maintain custom reports using Crystal Reports.
• Create and maintain user documentation for in-house programs.
• Assist in importing and exporting data files as needed by third-party services.
• Assist in evaluating and integrating new software.
• Work with end users to fulfill development requests.
• Evaluate change requests and how they interact with our environment.
• Assist in keeping the department up to date on emerging software development trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Understanding of programming fundamentals.
• Experience with the .NET framework (preferred).
• Experience with Visual Basic (preferred).
• Understanding of database fundamentals.
• Experience with SQL (preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (preferred).
• Experience with Crystal Reports (preferred).
• Ability and willingness to learn new languages and technology as needed.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software development, software engineering, computer science, or equivalent (preferred).

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $30.00/hr.
