Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer will participate in hands-on design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for industrial part washers. The role involves utilizing the company's vault/design library, learning, and following company standards to design automated washers from scratch to completion. The current workload includes multiple projects with diesel engine manufacturers and support for major OEMs and Tier 1 powertrain-related companies. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 40-45 weekly hours and requires up to 5% travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for industrial part washers.
• Utilize the company's vault/design library to follow company standards.
• Design automated washers from scratch to completion.
• Work on various projects revolving around powertrain assembly and industrial washer design.
• Engage in technical writing documentation for designed machines.
• Provide engineering solutions during the design process.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of mechanical engineering/design experience within automation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for both 3D solid modeling and 2D design.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D design.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience in technical writing.
• Ability to design from scratch to completion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
