ENTRY LEVEL LABORATORY OPENING!
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Accessioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for clinical specimen accessioning, sorting, retrieval, data entry of patient information, and preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
Responsibilities
- Accession clinical specimens
- Sort and retrieve specimens
- Enter patient information into the data system
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack and route specimens to staging areas
- Identify and label specimens
- Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Prepare and store excess specimen samples
Essential Skills
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Must type 35 words per minute
- Good data entry skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- No relative experience required; 1-2 years preferred
- Must have attention to detail!
- Previous medical or production experience is a plus
Work Environment
The Laboratory Accessioner will work inside a lab with a team of 48 Accessioners/Processors. The lab processes a variety of samples including blood, urine, feces, swabs, or any other bodily fluid. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 9 PM - 5:30 AM, with a 15% shift differential. Employees are required to wear solid-colored scrubs or jeans and a plain t-shirt, comfortable close-toed shoes, and a mask. A lab coat will be provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
