Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, the Senior Human Resources Manager serves as the Human Resources (HR) point of contact for the Global Actalent Services leadership team. The Senior Human Resources Manager provides focused human resources consulting in the areas of workforce planning, organizational development, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, and consultant management for the global colleague population (internal and consultant). This position will lead corporate initiatives for Actalent Services, assess issues and generate solutions, manage the implementation of enterprise-wide HR programs, and manage in a shared services environment. The Sr. HR Business Partner position will be a combination of functional and strategic work supporting Actalent Services' overall business, company, and strategic goals. The role demonstrates exceptional business acumen and understanding of key business strategies, priorities, opportunities, and trends.
Essential Functions
- Enhance and build the capability of the business by incorporating the people component into strategic planning, development and assessment.
- Partner with Services leadership to ensure current HR policies support the services business model.
- Advise Services leadership in matters relating to people, HR processes and policies, employment law, HR programs and corresponding impact on the business.
- Partner with Services leadership to create action plans to enhance colleague engagement and drive diversity and inclusion.
- Partner with Services leadership and Consultant Management to assess, select and develop colleagues for succession planning programs.
- Partner with Services leadership to create leadership development plans and staffing plans to support Actalent Services’ People Strategy and overall business goals.
- Provide individualized executive coaching, as required, to help drive high performance teams.
- Effectively delegate appropriate HR processes, employment practices, HR programs to develop and enhance the skills of the Actalent Services HR team.
- Execute and participate in HR and strategic projects.
- Collaborate with other HR COEs (DEI, Compliance, Employee Relations, Consultant Acquisition, Consultant Management) to enhance the service levels by delivering HR tools and processes to Actalent Services.
- Partner with other Operating Companies on strategic HR issues and apply to the Actalent Services business model.
- Demonstrate behavior that promotes an inclusive work environment, models inclusive behavior, and supports operational activities that foster diversity.
Supervisory or Management Duties
Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training colleagues; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining colleagues; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Education | Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (Masters preferred)
- 5-7 years in Human Resources and Management within an Engineering Services company.
- Willing to travel up to 40%
Skills | Abilities
- Computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Use of PeopleSoft a plus.
- Current knowledge of HR practices and Employment Law.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects, be self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
- Prior Management experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional client service, organizational, and time management skills.
Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $101,100 - 151,700 bonus potential of up to $15,000 - 22,500
