Job Title: Staff Civil Engineer

Job Description

The selected candidate will serve as a Staff Engineer on a variety of planning, design, and permitting projects involving industrial, institutional, commercial, multifamily residential, and athletic and recreation facilities development for both public and private clients. The position includes both field and in-office assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and permit projects for industrial, institutional, commercial, multifamily residential, and athletic/recreation facilities.
• Conduct both field and in-office assignments.
• Work on land or site development projects.
• Handle drainage and stormwater management tasks.
• Familiarize with athletic and recreation facilities design and construction.
• Adhere to state and local permitting practices and sustainable design applications.
• Use Civil 3D and AutoCAD for project designs.
• Communicate effectively and work proficiently with MS Office and other required software.

Essential Skills

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 3-5 years of experience in land use and development.
• Experience with hydrology, grading, and utilities.
• Scheduled and/or passed the FE exam.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Effective communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with athletic and recreation facilities design.
• Experience with state and local permitting practices.
• Knowledge of sustainable design applications.
• Goal of obtaining professional licensure (EIT or PE).

Work Environment

The work environment includes both office and remote opportunities, with a hybrid schedule allowing for 2 days of remote work. Candidates may also need to conduct site visits from time to time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $39.00/hr.
