Job Description
As the Structural BIM Specialist, you will work on a variety of project types including education, retail, office, healthcare, residential, industrial, hospitality, religious, and civic. This is a small to mid-size structural engineering firm with roughly 20 people, comprised of 10 Professional Engineers and 10 support staff.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of structural engineers to produce Revit models and structural drawings for new buildings and renovations.
- Utilize Revit on a daily basis to convert Revit models to 2D PDF prints for construction.
- Manage company-wide Revit BIM files.
Essential Skills
- 2 years of experience in a field utilizing Revit.
- Associates or Bachelors degree.
- Understanding of building design and construction materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work as a team in constant communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with structural engineering, structural design, structural steel design, structural steel detailing, structural concrete, structural construction, structural drawing, and structural CAD.
Job Type
This is a contract to hire position with a duration of 12 months. During the initial 12 months, you will be employed through Actalent Services where you will have access to full benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k). After 12 months you will be eligible to transition to the construction firm as a direct employee.
Work Environment
The work environment is a small office where you will have the autonomy to interact with clients daily and manage projects from start to finish. After working on-site for 6 months, you may be granted 1-2 days of remote work per week. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. You will have the opportunity to work under at least 10 Professional Engineers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr.
