Job Title: Structural Designer

Job Description

This Structural Designer will have a strong experience in structural design and be responsible for performing a variety of routine design assignments on major projects. An ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter, who is a creative problem solver and exhibits sound design practices.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed structural designs and plans.
• Prepare general arrangements, structural design drawings, and sketches using 2D or 3D modeling software.
• Collaborate with other discipline designers and engineers as well as shop and construction teams.
• Communicate regularly with the project team to convey technical information, identify problems, and develop solutions that achieve project objectives in a timely manner.
• Participate in project meetings and reviews.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Strong experience in structural design.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related field with similar duties preferred. Candidates without a degree but with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Knowledge of TEKLA strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Plant 3D desirable.

Work Environment

Will be working onsite 5 days a week. The company offers strong benefits, including 3 weeks of vacation starting, profit sharing, and a great bonus program. The company has over 50 years of experience in providing biomass-fired energy systems, lumber dry kilns, and related products and services. It is a firmly established company with strong ties in the industry and lots of room for growth and advancement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $38.00
