Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join our team for structural design and engineering services. This role is based in our York office, with an option to work in our Lancaster office. You will be assigned tasks by the head engineer and provided with the necessary training or mentoring to complete those tasks. The Structural Engineer will use software or hand calculations to analyze building structures and assist in the creation of technical drawings, either by marking up drawings or by using Revit to draft their design.

Responsibilities

• Analyze building structures using software or hand calculations.
• Assist in the creation of technical drawings by marking up drawings or using Revit.
• Field measure and document existing conditions.
• Collaborate with the head engineer and other team members.
• Make site visits as needed, starting with once a month and potentially increasing to weekly.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with a structural emphasis.
• E.I.T. certification is recommended.
• Ability to field measure and document existing conditions.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with Enercalc.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Strong architectural and structural design skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with drafting and design.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is an office setting with all work conducted in person. You will make site visits once a month initially, with potential to increase to weekly visits. The company fosters a team, family atmosphere within a small company setting of 16 employees, including 4 other drafters. There are half days on Fridays. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
