Job Title: Study Support Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a Study Support Specialist for a 6-month contingent role to assist with a project in Bioanalytical. The primary focus will be on archiving a large number of backlogged studies at our site. This includes both paper and electronic data, as well as the maintenance and management of other study documentation and raw data.
Responsibilities
- Archive raw data including paper and electronic data.
- Maintain and manage other study documentation and raw data, including storage and filing.
- Ensure H&S compliance by keeping policies/SOPs and training up to date.
- Perform all processes relevant to the role accurately.
- Learn to review own and peers' work for overall accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
- Work on allocated projects and seek guidance on priorities.
- Actively engage with relevant training programs to understand the role and responsibilities.
- Review own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment.
- Deliver results within agreed timeframe.
- Demonstrate good timekeeping and time recording (timesheets).
- Start working on GLP studies (pre-clinical) first, which are most urgent, and then work on validation studies.
- Work closely with archival specialists.
Essential Skills
- B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related Life Science degree.
- Knowledge and experience in wet chemistry and laboratory settings.
- 1-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Organized and capable of working towards a deadline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in filing or data management is helpful.
Work Environment
This is a 100% onsite position, working at a desk with an open desk layout. The desk will be around support staff and outside of the lab setting. The BioAnalytical Department has around 100 employees, including chemists and support staff. The role offers a great foot in the door to get into a growing company with advancement opportunities, such as moving into a QC Review or Study Coordinator position. After the contract, there may be openings within the company/BioA department. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
