PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Utilizes knowledge and skill to care for the adult and pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
• Documents essential history information and physical exam components that support the study protocol.
• Appropriate counsels, referrals and orders as documented on the record.
• Interprets diagnostic testing appropriately; refers abnormal results to physician for review when necessary.
• Appropriately refers to supervising physician or other healthcare providers when needed.
• Maintains an active presence in local and national chapters of professional associations.
• Regularly meets productivity standards set by department.
• Participates in internal and/or external training programs, staying current and compliant on knowledge and skills applicable to assigned duties. Completes Employee Assessment Form and proactively plans for career development.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the department.
• Assists in protocol development and in review of research drafts for submission for publication.
Qualifications
• Adult and pediatric physical assessment skills
• If Nurse Practitioner - the NP is certified in advanced or specialized nursing practice by virtue of post-basic education, training, and experience in accordance with Florida statutes. The NP practices with signed protocols submitted to the State Board of Nursing.
• If Physician Assistant - the PA is a dependent practitioner with their scope of practice regulated by Florida Statute 458 and 459. Privileges requiring direct supervision by a physician are defined by Florida Statutes 59R-30.001.
• Computer skills: MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.), Internet and other research tools, word processing, and databases

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00
