Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer for a company in the power utility field. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing electrical systems for power plants and substations, with a strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for power plant and substation projects.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and ensure design accuracy.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and calculations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, CADD or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in power plant and substation projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
