Description
Actalent is currently seeking a Mid Level Substation P&C Engineer to support their growing Substation team in Tampa, Florida. This individual will be part of a team, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of protection and control systems for high voltage substations utilizing various industry standard, in-house, and client-based software applications, while performing the design and the development of engineering packages to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop protection and control systems for substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Perform relay settings and coordination studies.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to protection and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain project documentation and records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (ABET-Accredited)
- 5 Years of experience in P&C design and engineering
- Must be proficient in the use of Substation Design Suite (SDS) and/or AutoCAD Electrical
- Professional Engineering License is a plus
- Knowledgeable in substation design and engineering
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $52.88
