Job Title: Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage the construction efforts of various projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring project goals are met, maintaining an orderly and safe construction site, and communicating effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the total construction effort to meet project goals
• Manage an orderly and safe construction site
• Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with design intent
• Communicate with clients, architects, building inspectors, and others
• Coordinate and supervise means and methods of construction
• Plan, arrange, and coordinate subcontractor schedule and activities
• Prepare daily job reports documenting construction site activity
• Participate in weekly project meetings
• Ensure compliance with all safety program requirements

Essential Skills

• Construction supervisory experience with architectural, structural, and/or MEP systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints with a strong technical knowledge of construction assemblies
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills
• Team player with effective communication skills
• Professional and competent written and oral communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction management, commercial construction, and general contracting
• Subcontractor management and fit-out experience
• Construction supervision experience, particularly with lab and retail construction
• CSL (Construction Supervisor License) is highly preferred
• Experience with lab construction is a plus
• Retail fit-out experience is a must

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily on-site, with some opportunities to work from home. Office visits will be rare.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $52.90
