Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities for commercial projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules, while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to standards.
• Manage subcontractors and labor force, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and reports.
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress.
• Ensure timely completion of project milestones and overall project delivery.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent doing ground up commercial projects, preferably government work.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Experience in commercial construction, construction management, and project management.
• Experience with ground-up commercial projects.
• Ideally some experience with government work (VA, DoD, Federal), though not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr.
