Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Job Description
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for managing suppliers, including material releases, purchase orders, service parts, and repair parts to meet production requirements. You will issue and ensure the accuracy of required material releases, purchase orders, and other necessary documents to ensure production continuity. Additionally, you will monitor orders, update receiving dashboards, address discrepancies, and assist in developing strategies to meet targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage suppliers for material releases, purchase orders, service parts, and repair parts.
- Issue and verify accuracy of material releases, purchase orders, and other documents.
- Ensure orders are functionally acknowledged by suppliers, covering all OEM and export destinations.
- Issue Honda Trouble Reports to suppliers and verify the accuracy of supportive documentation.
- Monitor return for accuracy of countermeasure and timeliness.
- Hold supplier meetings to discuss issues and updates as needed.
- Issue design changes and follow through to ensure timely production requirements.
- Update receiving dashboard and resolve any receiving discrepancies.
- Order and monitor supplier in-process for production volume changes.
- Coordinate and attend supplier meetings to discuss upcoming needs or resolve issues.
- Develop strategies to ensure targets are achieved, including assessing gaps and assigning countermeasures.
- Prepare and present detailed schedules and strategies.
- Establish communication networks with supply base to promote positive relationships focused on delivery performance.
- Identify, evaluate, and escalate critical issues to management for timely resource allocation.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of 3 months relevant experience (including co-op/internship experience).
- Knowledge of basic inventory management and manufacturing workflow.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with limited direction.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Experience in supply chain and logistics.
- Experience in material planning.
- Consistently identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collecting data and applying business knowledge to solve a range of problems.
- Effectively leading project themes and securing buy-in from individuals or teams.
Work Environment
You will work in a fast-paced environment with demanding and critical deadlines. The role involves an open office setting and occasional travel to North American suppliers. You may need to work weekends and/or shift changes from 1st to 2nd shift during peak times of the year or as needed. Your time will be split between taking line calls and working in the office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.44/hr.
