What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
As a Survey CAD Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase land survey project efficiency and client satisfaction by:
- Processing data utilizing CAD standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
- Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
- Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
- Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D (Trimble Business Center and MicroStation is a plus)
- 2-3 years of survey technician experience (boundary, topos, layouts, as-builts, site plans, etc.)
- Experience with Dominion Energy and/or transportation surveying projects is a plus
- Drone surveying experience is a plus
