Job Title: Survey Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician with 2-3 years of experience in construction survey projects. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and have a strong understanding of construction survey practices. This role involves post-processing and analyzing survey data, preparing stakeout sketches, point files, and DXF files, and outputting accurate As-Built Drawings. The Survey Technician will work closely with Survey Project Managers and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient surveying services.

Responsibilities

• Post-process and analyze survey data.
• Prepare stakeout sketches, point files, and DXF files for all construction stakeout needs.
• Output accurate and professional As-Built Drawings.
• Perform accurate volume calculations as needed.
• Prepare accurate cut-sheets and sketches for a variety of field tasks.
• Organize DWG files utilizing templates, dynamic blocks, layers, and colors.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project requirements are met.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in construction survey projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Clear understanding of survey points, point groups, .CSV’s, and coordinate systems.
• Ability to calculate pipe slopes.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient in PC software and systems such as Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Dropbox, and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with 'Agtek Earthwork 3D' for surface creation and earthwork calculations is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform material take-offs from plans.
• Ability to read and understand all civil, structural, and architectural plans and specifications.

Work Environment

This is an in-office role with hybrid flexibility dependent on the candidate's comfort with processes and standard operating rhythm. The office is composed of approximately 30 people, including surveyors, technicians, and administrative staff.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46
