What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer position at Actalent?
Description
Write service manuals, repair kits, and maintenance manuals for any machine that engineering is developing. This will include all 2D and 3D content with photographs and drawings or diagrams. Will organize the manual in chapters based on the machine function. Will write all step instructions for the manual after meeting with the engineering teams. Look at any vendor information for specs, troubleshooting info, and repair information for any parts in the Vermeer machine. These will include engines, hydraulic, clutches, or any other mechanical/electrical components. Write all addendums for each manual. Take pictures as needed for any information in the manual. Each project will go through a multi step review process, so correct any content after each time.

Bachelor's degree in English or Journalism or similar field. 2-4 years experience in technical writing, can be from school 1 years with mechanical experience (engine, machines, hydraulics, etc.)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
