Job Title: Technician Assc
Job Description
Under limited supervision, perform skilled work involving the operation, maintenance, repair, alteration, and additions to Data Center systems. This includes but is not limited to HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems, building furnishings, and site improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on, troubleshoot, repair, install, and operate various types of HVAC-related equipment, emergency generators, and general building mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment, electronic components, and general building control systems.
- Ensure the root cause of facility problems are identified and repaired quickly.
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond immediately to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
- Perform general building maintenance and repair such as drywall, masonry, painting, ceilings, roofing, tile, carpets, windows, and other related items.
- Conduct daily inspections of all data center infrastructure equipment. Provide systems availability monitoring and reporting. Maintain records including inspection documentation and submit reports as required.
- Ensure Computerized Maintenance Management System data accuracy.
Essential Skills
- Excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units, and CRAC units.
- HVAC, electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, repair, electronics, plumbing.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and manuals.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Building Maintenance Technician or 2 years of related utility industry work experience or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Must successfully pass a background check which includes NERC/CIP.
Work Environment
Work location is a Data Center in New Albany, OH. The job designation is onsite with potential for overtime. The length of assignment is 4-6 months. The position covers rotating 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm), including holidays and weekends. Must be willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. Must comply with safety practices and procedures, report unsafe conditions and practices, and demonstrate professional conduct and effective interactions with others.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
