Job Title: Technologist

Job Description

As a technologist, you will be responsible for updating patient information in the Athena EMR system, providing excellent bedside care, and explaining procedures to patients. You will also clarify and follow doctor's orders, scan necessary information into PACS, and maintain room cleanliness after exams and procedures. Additionally, you will obtain patient information/chart notes and demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations. The role requires performing daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual quality control tasks.

Responsibilities

• Update patient information in the Athena EMR system.
• Provide good bedside care to patients and explain procedures to them.
• Clarify and follow doctor's orders and scan needed information in PACS.
• Maintain room cleanliness after exams and procedures.
• Obtain patient information/chart notes.
• Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual quality control tasks.

Essential Skills

• ARRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• Good bedside manner and ability to handle high volume daily.
• Medical assisting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Athena or other EMR systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The position operates on a Monday to Friday first shift, with flexible start times between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. Occasional shorter Saturday shifts are taken by volunteers. The technologist will primarily work in one location but may need to visit other spine doctor locations as needed, including Emerson, Hackensack, Fairlawn, and Clifton. The role offers opportunities for training in other modalities, providing a pathway for career advancement. You will work alongside a senior tech who will provide training and support.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $53.00/hr.
