Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Triage Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our team of physicians by handling incoming clinical calls and messages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for speaking with 30-40 patients daily, providing comprehensive answers to clinical questions regarding treatment plans and physician orders, and helping patients navigate the nephrology process.
Responsibilities
- Support 4 physicians daily with incoming clinical calls and messages.
- Speak with 30-40 patients per day, addressing their clinical questions.
- Field calls as needed to provide the best treatment support.
- Answer comprehensive clinical questions for patients regarding their treatment plans and physician orders.
- Build trust and rapport with patients to help them navigate the nephrology process.
Essential Skills
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- State or Compact Nursing License - Active and Current (preferred, but open to lapsed license)
- 2 years of experience in a specialty clinic or physician office
- Experience in Nephrology or Cardiology
- Triage experience preferred
- EPIC Acumen
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Team player
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in customer service
- Experience in medical triage
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and physician staff
- Strong ability to build rapport and trust with patients
Work Environment
The role involves working at a desk/cubicle without direct in-person interaction with patients. It is a collaborative environment involving clinical (medical assistants) and physician staff. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, with a 30-minute lunch break. The role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
