Actalent is looking to hire a Software Engineer who specializes in Unreal Engine. This position is onsite with hybrid opportunity in St Louis, MO area. This is a 9 month contract with opportunity to go permanent.
Job Description
Create maintainable software supporting training and simulation product lines, including rendering, shading, lighting, load balancing, weather effects, animation, multi-threading, anti-aliasing, dynamic paging, display interfaces, and more. Develop and extend our next generation products. The team is agile, test-driven, and multi-disciplinary. The position incorporates all facets of software development from communication, requirements assessment, research, design, development, testing, integration, peer review, documentation, maintenance, and end user support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software supporting training and simulation product lines.
- Implement features such as rendering, shading, lighting, load balancing, weather effects, animation, multi-threading, anti-aliasing, dynamic paging, and display interfaces.
- Contribute to the development and extension of next generation products.
- Participate in all facets of software development including communication, requirements assessment, research, design, development, testing, integration, peer review, documentation, maintenance, and end user support.
Top Skills
- Proficiency in C programming.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or newer.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience in game or graphic programming using OpenGL, Direct3D, HLSL, GLSL.
- Solid understanding of mathematics, including matrix algebra, projective geometry, and vector math.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $63.50
