Job Description
The Sample Technician is responsible for the intake, logging, preparation, and processing of lubricant samples, as well as maintaining the laboratory shipping area. This role ensures accurate sample management and efficient laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Scan reports and log lubricant samples by typing in and matching product codes in the sample management systems.
- Unbox lubricant samples, place them onto trays, and deliver them to the laboratory.
- Measure and weigh lubricant samples.
- Mix and batch samples.
- Operate basic laboratory equipment to initiate tests.
- Perform basic wet chemistry tasks.
- Fill test tubes, place them on a hot tray, and de-gas samples.
- Clean refrigerant cylinders using a recovery device.
- Organize the cylinders and maintain the shipping area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (An associate’s degree is acceptable, a bachelor’s degree is overqualified).
- Experience with sample preparation or shipping is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
