Job Title: VDC Coordinator

Job Description

We are currently hiring for a VDC Coordinator to support a reputable Electrical Contractor in the Greater Columbus region. As the VDC Coordinator, you will have the flexibility to work in-office, hybrid, or remote. Your main responsibility will be preparing 2D layout drawings for BIM modeling or field installation. You will work on a variety of projects, predominantly data centers and other commercial buildings including higher education, healthcare, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for field installation.
• Prepare field installation and prefabrication drawings.
• Prepare panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire information.
• Coordinate and interface with project management staff.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Provide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practices.
• Contribute to developing department BIM/Layout standards.
• Attend project BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetings.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field electrician, electrical distribution maintenance technician, or an electrical engineer.
• Current or prior experience as an Electrician or with electrical construction.
• Experience with power distribution 120V/480V up to 15kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS, raceways, and transformers.
• Experience in reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals.
• Experience in modeling software such as REVIT or Bluebeam.
• Experience in healthcare, data centers, industrial, higher education, or other commercial facilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with BIM, Revit MEP, electrical design, MEP engineering, building design, commercial construction, electrical systems, electrical wiring, electrical control, and electrical panels.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.

Work Environment

You will have the option to work in-office, hybrid, or remote. The work schedule is Monday through Friday. You will have the opportunity to work on data center projects or other complex commercial buildings. The company boasts a substantial backlog of work, providing job stability and continuous project engagement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $50.00/hr.
