Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Job Description

Manage a daily patient load of 10-15 individuals, ensuring efficient and compassionate care. Perform inpatient x-ray scans, providing accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment. Operate portable x-ray machines to deliver imaging services in various locations within the facility. Collaborate with the Emergency Room team to conduct urgent x-ray scans, supporting timely medical interventions. Utilize transport personnel to assist in safely moving patients to and from the imaging area. Work alongside another technologist during most shifts, fostering teamwork and shared responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a daily patient load of 10-15 individuals, ensuring efficient and compassionate care.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in x-ray technology
• Experience in radiology and imaging
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray Compliance
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Work Environment

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with one weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday) every month or every other month. Shift Differential: Earn an additional $2.75 per hour during productive hours on weekdays and $3.75 per hour on weekends. This differential applies only when actively working, not during training or orientation. The facility has 128 beds and typically handles 10-15 patients per day. Free parking is available. The imaging department is conveniently located next to the Emergency Room, minimizing the need for extensive walking during the day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $83000.00/yr.
