Blue Yonder TMS Consultant

Location: Thomasville, NC (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Position Summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an experienced Blue Yonder (JDA) TMS Consultant to support the configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of our Transportation Management System (TMS). This position will play a critical role in ensuring our TMS is aligned with current business requirements and future growth strategies.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TMS configuration, carrier rate structure integration, and system troubleshooting. Additionally, they will be responsible for end-user training, system enhancements, and collaboration with IT and Transportation Operations teams to drive efficiency and process improvements.

This is a contract position requiring full-time onsite presence in Thomasville, NC.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Blue Yonder TMS to support transportation planning and execution.
• Analyze system data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement business rule configurations to optimize freight movement and carrier management.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to support system updates, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Lead end-user training and create documentation for system processes and best practices.
• Act as the primary functional support resource for Blue Yonder TMS, assisting with issue resolution and process improvements.
• Conduct annual system assessments to support long-term strategic planning.
• Provide reports, insights, and recommendations to improve system performance and support business goals.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in TMS configuration, implementation, and support.
• Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) TMS, including system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of carrier rate structures and TMS integration with transportation networks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access for reporting and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and present ad hoc reports and system insights to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field required

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
