About the Role:

The Plumber/Pipefitter Journeyman will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in various settings. This position requires a deep understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices to deliver high-quality workmanship. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues, providing solutions, and executing repairs that meet industry standards. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Ultimately, the Plumber/Pipefitter Journeyman will contribute to the overall functionality and safety of plumbing systems, enhancing the quality of life for the end-users.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid plumbing license (P2 or S2) as a journeyman plumber.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in plumbing and pipefitting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Valid Drivers License in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial plumbing systems.
• Certification in specialized plumbing techniques or technologies.
• Proficiency in using plumbing software for project management.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine plumbing system layouts.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations during all work.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include a strong technical understanding of plumbing systems, which is essential for diagnosing and resolving issues effectively. Attention to detail is crucial, as the candidate will need to ensure that all installations and repairs meet industry standards and local codes. Communication skills are also important, as the role involves working closely with other tradespeople and clients to coordinate efforts and provide updates. Preferred skills, such as experience with commercial systems or specialized certifications, will enhance the candidate's ability to tackle complex projects and improve efficiency. Overall, a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills will enable the Plumber/Pipefitter Journeyman to excel in this role.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching with arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and walking.
• Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Prompt arrival at work. Must be flexible, and available to work various shifts if necessary. Regular and predictable attendance is required of all positions with Action Air.
• Occasional exposure to wet and or humid conditions, highly precarious places, and outside weather conditions.
