Key Responsibilities
- Foster relationships with individuals residing in local Emergency Assistance shelters, identifying their employment objectives and required training.
- Collaborate with shelter staff to develop effective outreach strategies, ensuring residents have access to MassHire Boston ABCD Career Center services.
- Maintain an up-to-date roster of shelter residents, detailing their employment goals and needed training.
- Enroll interested residents as MassHire Boston ABCD Career Center members.
- Work with Career Center staff to facilitate access to workforce development services.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and one to three years of experience in human services.
- A Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field is an asset.
- Familiarity with the greater Boston community.
- Will to travel and work extensively in diverse neighborhoods.
- Flexibility, initiative, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to engage sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
