Position Summary:
Action Group is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Tulsa, OK. This role is responsible for producing production-ready designs for generator enclosures and systems, based on customer-approved submittal drawings and project schedules. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision, transforming conceptual designs into detailed, manufacturable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and design electrical systems, selecting appropriate products, components, and materials to meet customer and application requirements.
- Develop and implement testing methods and procedures to confirm system and component capabilities; support customer system and witness testing.
- Support product sales through custom design solutions, based on customer requirements and industry standards.
- Develop manufacturing processes by designing or modifying equipment and integrating feedback from the shop floor.
- Ensure product quality through coordination with the quality department and implementation of testing methods.
- Provide engineering support to internal teams, sales, customers, warranty claims, and field service operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations, including State, Local, and the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Apply PLC programming knowledge and interface with building management systems and communication equipment.
- Create and maintain product databases to support engineering and sales departments.
- Participate in training initiatives for shop floor personnel and field technicians.
- Stay current with industry trends by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking through market-related societies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 4 years of experience with power distribution components (e.g., circuit breakers, switchboards, transformers, disconnects, distribution panels, AC/DC wiring).
- Personable and customer service-oriented, with strong communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and CAD software (Electrical CAD experience preferred).
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
