Job Summary :
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will deliver compassionate and competent care to home care patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their residence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver personalized patient care as assigned based on individual client needs.
- Assist with personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, and other activities of daily living.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under the direction of healthcare professionals.
- Prepare meals catering to client preferences and dietary requirements.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities that enhance their quality of life.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Work as a team member to ensure high standards of health care are met.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by the agency.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health to the supervising staff.
- Utilize EVV app for task documentation and timekeeping when necessary.
- Demonstrate reliability by being punctual for all scheduled shifts.
- Respect clients’ values and promote independence within their means.
- Complete other duties as outlined in each client’s care plan.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and report any concerns regarding abuse or unsafe environments immediately.
- Adhere strictly to the care plan and never administer medications.
Equipment Used :
Transport, Blood Pressure Cuff, Stethoscope (as directed by the Plan of Care).
Physical Demands :
The CNA role involves extensive direct patient care, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs. You will navigate diverse patient conditions and family situations. Assignments will vary based on availability and caseload, so flexibility is key.
