We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and movement of materials within our warehouse. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail while adhering to all operational guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently to fulfill customer orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
- Assist in building pallets for shipping and storage as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes and equipment such as cranes is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial for effective inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols are essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
