The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and daily operations of the Human Resources Department. This leadership role ensures that all HR initiatives align with organizational goals while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, compliance, and professionalism. As a key leader, the HR Manager is expected to lead by example, promoting ethical conduct, mutual respect, and operational excellence across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management for all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and compliance.

Supervise HR staff, promoting a culture of performance, accountability, and service excellence.

Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee issues, including harassment, discrimination, and misconduct investigations.

Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, fostering a fair, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.

Develop and implement HR policies in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including OSHA and ISO 9000 requirements.

Represent the organization during legal proceedings, audits, and other official HR-related matters.

Lead end-to-end recruitment and retention strategies, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and workforce planning.

Proactively monitor staffing levels and workforce trends to support organizational growth and efficiency.

Oversee compensation, employee benefits, and workers’ compensation programs.

Manage performance review cycles and collaborate with managers to address performance and development needs.

Design and coordinate company-wide training and development programs; evaluate effectiveness and ensure proper documentation.

Maintain accurate and organized HR records in both digital and physical formats.

Oversee internal communication tools such as bulletin boards and company-wide messaging systems.

Manage the HR department’s budget and provide recommendations for resource allocations.

Model ethical decision-making and effective communication throughout the organization.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or 3–5 years of HR management experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred).

Experience with Paylocity HR software is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Strong knowledge of employment law, workplace safety standards, and HR best practices.

Proven experience in employee relations and conducting thorough investigations.

Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong facilitation and public speaking skills.

High School Diploma required (minimum educational requirement).
