Maintenance Technician

This is an entry-level maintenance role focused on performing preventive maintenance for the assembly and molding departments, along with limited corrective maintenance throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Assist with maintenance calls during shift.

2. Support correction of equipment issues.

3. Participate in machine building and rebuilding.

4. Conduct routine facility checks for safety and security, including inspecting parking areas, exits, and identifying potential hazards.

5. Complete work orders and related documentation.

6. Help maintain parts inventory.

7. Perform tasks such as painting, construction, concrete repair, fabrication, and plumbing as needed.

8. Review maintenance procedures for alignment with quality standards.

9. Keep workstation clean during each shift.

10. Follow quality-related standards and documentation.

11. Identify appropriate next steps for non-conforming service or procedures.

12. Maintain consistent attendance in alignment with position expectations.

13. Carry out other related duties as assigned.

ADVANCED DUTIES

1. Respond to maintenance calls during shift, as directed.

2. Track and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment (e.g., lubrication, temperature checks, filter changes, calibration) according to schedule/checklist.

3. Identify and plan action for procedures not meeting standards.

4. Apply corrective measures to bring procedures back into acceptable range.

5. Troubleshoot, adjust, and address equipment issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or equivalent experience, preferably with mechanical or manufacturing background.

2. Basic understanding of electrical/electronics, schematics, and technical drawings.

3. Ability to handle tasks within defined timeframes.

4. Demonstrated skills in organization, time management, follow-up, memorization, and multitasking.

5. Openness to hands-on training and skill development.

6. Effective in both collaborative and independent work settings.

7. Able to read and understand detailed instructions, both written and verbal.

8. Detail-focused with an emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and cleanliness.

9. Reliable attendance in accordance with role expectations.

10. Maintains a tidy workspace and practices safe work habits.

EQUIPMENT USED

Multimeters, amp probes, hand tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and additional equipment as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Includes fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination, foot pedal use, color and close vision, moderate noise exposure, occasional fumes, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, working at heights, and being on feet for extended periods.
