What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Leader position at Action Personnel Inc?
The Quality Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring that all plastic parts and trials meet production and medical standards. This position works collaboratively with the Quality Manager, Production Managers, Process Engineers, and the Leadership Team to perform final inspections and uphold quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect molded parts to verify quality compliance with production and medical standards.
- Identify and isolate non-conforming or suspect products, including visual and dimensional defects.
- Document non-conforming material by creating Material Review Board (MRB) reports as per established procedures.
- Collect and document sample defects to represent non-conformities for review by the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer.
- Utilize Go/No-Go gauges and other measurement tools to determine product acceptability.
- Monitor production and packaging stations to ensure accuracy in count, packaging, and labeling.
- Train and assist operators in performing visual inspections effectively.
- Collaborate with Production Managers, Quality Engineers, and Shift Supervisors to monitor and minimize scrap and production waste.
- Maintain detailed shift reports and document daily activities as required.
- Conduct visual inspections and product audits with a keen attention to detail.
- Verify packaging and labeling information before product disposition.
- Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and managers regarding quality concerns.
- Support team operations by sharing operator break responsibilities, as determined by Shift Supervisors.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Production Managers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with quality control principles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
- Professional demeanor when addressing quality concerns at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Availability to work 3rd shift.
