Summary
The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the property's interior and exterior common areas. This role ensures that the grounds are clean, safe, and presentable for residents and visitors. Additionally, the Porter will provide support to the maintenance and engineering team by assisting with basic tasks and ensuring a well maintained environment.
This position is based at our luxury community association in Dallas.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Compensation: $17.00- $20.00 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of the exterior grounds, including walkways, courtyards, parking areas, entrances, and other outdoor spaces.
- Remove litter, debris, and trash from common areas, ensuring proper disposal.
- Maintain and clean outdoor furniture, fixtures, and common areas such as patios, pool decks, and recreational spaces.
- Assist in the upkeep of landscaping, including watering plants, sweeping pathways, and removing weeds or overgrown vegetation.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the maintenance supervisor or property management team promptly.
- Assist with pressure washing sidewalks, driveways, and other exterior surfaces as needed.
- Support the maintenance and engineering team by carrying tools, supplies, and assisting with minor maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of cleaning and maintenance equipment.
- Help set up and break down outdoor areas for community events when needed.
- Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal, leaf blowing, and clearing drains as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills /Abilities:
- Relevant experience in janitorial, porter, or maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
Education / Certifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
