What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control Technician position at ACTION SAFETY SUPPLY CO., LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and remove traffic control devices, including cones, signs, barricades, and lane closures, following safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with construction crews, and supervisors to provide updates on traffic control measures.
- Conduct inspections of traffic control setups to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide immediate adjustments to traffic control when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Certification in traffic control (e.g. Flagger Certification or equivalent) is preferred or willingness to obtain in the future.
- Familiarity with traffic control plans, manuals, and safety procedures a plus
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighting up to 60 pounds
- Strong attention to detain and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
