Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring and documenting patient behavior and progress.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of nursing staff or psychiatrists.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities and support their daily living needs.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all patients by adhering to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Support patients with disabilities by promoting independence and dignity.
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care, preferably within a hospital or psychiatric setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand psychiatric care principles.
- Strong skills in patient monitoring and documentation practices.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing acute mental health issues.
- Compassionate approach towards working with people with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- State of Colorado certification is required.
