What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Field Technician position at Action Technology Inc.?
The Environmental Technician is an entry level position. The main purpose of this position is to support in site compliance with all regulatory and company licenses, permits and policies.
Monday – Friday (8 – 10 hours per day), with occasional weekends or night work for special projects.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):
- Complete water/soil sampling routines and complete chain of custodies per permit requirements.
- Complete inspections per permit and site requirements.
- Assist the Radiation/Environmental Specialist and/or the Environmental Manager with projects as needed.
- Data management in support of air and water permits, and corporate reporting.
- Assistance in data gathering within wetland environments.
- Other duties as required
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental management, Environmental Science or related field preferred, but not required.
- Able to work in outdoor environments in different types of weather
- Strong planning, negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Good Driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and Excel.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Experience with pH, Turbidity and ISCO Samplers
