The UI Software Engineer role will have responsibilities within our engineering department to help develop client facing web applications. As an integral member of the team, you will collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, external users, and senior management to identify requirements and develop robust, high-quality software.
Specific responsibilities are expected to include:
- Working with the business to gather requirements and write technical requirements.
- Providing production support for various time-sensitive workflows
- Improving the architecture of existing systems by employing engineering best practices
- Use modern, proven architectural designs to help enhance existing applications and build new scalable platforms
- Evaluation of new technologies and third-party solutions to help advance the team.
The role requires solid understanding of engineering principles, very strong programming capabilities, the ability to troubleshoot time-sensitive issues, collaborative spirit, project leadership, and an analytic orientation.
Finding the Right Fit
While there is a wide array of unique backgrounds that may be a good fit, experience in customer-facing applications is preferred. Candidates should have experience in building public facing websites which require strong authentication and validation.
Beyond the skills and experiences, candidates may have had in their academic and/or professional career to date, the following areas of expertise which are fundamental to finding this position with our team a good fit:
- Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills
- Expertise with scalable systems
- Experience working collaboratively with business users to develop design specifications
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for one’s work
- Expertise Angular/React, CSS and TypeScript required.
- Enjoy developing front-ends, UI mock-ups, and process flow diagrams
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s, in Computer Science or related engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, coupled with a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience. If, by chance, they have related work experience as part of a trading desk at an investment management firm, they are likely an excellent fit.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
