Overview
The National Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the nationwide sales strategy for our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, including developing and implementing sales plans, managing business development executives, and national sales executives, analyzing market trends, and ensuring consistent achievement of revenue targets across all sales territories, while focusing on building strong customer relationships and driving new business opportunities within the multifamily apartment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Goal Setting

The Sales Manager is the architect of strategic sales plans. This involves analyzing market trends, understanding customer needs, and aligning sales strategies with overall business objectives. The manager also sets achievable goals that serve as guiding beacons for the sales team.

  • Team Leadership and Management

Leadership is cornerstone of the Sales Manager role. From hiring and training to day-to-day management, the sales manager is responsible for fostering a high-performing sales team. Motivation, goal-setting, and ensuring a cohesive team dynamic are required.

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Maintaining strong client relationships is a critical aspect of a Sales Manager’s responsibilities. Leveraging advanced CRM tools, the manager tracks customer interactions, manages leads, and ensures effective communication throughout the sales process. The goal is to acquire customers and retain and nurture those relationships.

  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting

Accurate sales forecasting is essential for effective business planning. Sales Managers analyze sales data, identify trends, and create comprehensive reports that inform decision-making at both the sales and executive levels. This involves a keen eye for data analysis and understanding market dynamics.

  • Product Knowledge and Training

A deep understanding of the SaaS product is fundamental to the role. Sales Managers ensure that their team is well-versed in the product’s features and benefits. They conduct regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge, enabling the sales force to articulate value propositions effectively.
