A chemical manufacturer by the Greenville NC area is actively searching for an Assistant Plant Manager responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a manufacturing plant. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package.
Assistant Plant Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Manage production supervisors on a regular bases to maintain safety, productivity and compliances with set polices
- Develop, update and implement quality assurance & quality control procedures to meet quality objectives
- Organize, and update production schedules and main needs in order to address customer needs and any issues with equipment or operations
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement in quality processes, production methods, and product quality
- Plan and direct production activities based on weekly requirements
- Evaluate the performance of supervisors
- Other duties as assigned
Assistant Plant Manager Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a operations in the manufacturing field
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of flexibility with assigned duties
- Ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
