Welding Group Lead - Automotive Parts Manufacturing (35314)

An international manufacturer of automotive interior components is currently searching for a motivated Welding Group Lead to join their facility in the Jackson, TN area. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with leadership, supervision, and familiarity with welding processes. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.

Welding Group Lead Responsibilities Include:

• Leadership of welding associates to ensure daily production and quality goals are being met
• Assist with the training, scheduling, and supervision of production employees
• Complete applicable paperwork for daily production activities and submit reports to upper management
• Ability to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule as needed
• Review work instructions and assign duties to team members
• Track inventory and create order requests for production materials
• Machinery troubleshooting, basic repair, and operation as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Welding Group Lead Responsibilities Include:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years’ work experience as a Team Lead or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards (5S, ISO, IATF, etc.)
• Previous experience with injection molding and extrusion processes is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and time management skill
• Good communication and collaborative ability in a fast-paced and multicultural environment
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
