A global chemical product trading company in the Schaumburg, IL area is searching for an Account Management / New Business Development Specialist to support their sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience with business development in the plastics/packaging industry.
Account Management / New Business Development Representative Responsibilities Include:
- Establish relations with new and previous customers
- Make appointments with new clients and travel to the locations to develop new business
- Communicate with both existing and new clients to resolve their issues and develop solutions
- Understand specification of service, present to customers, and negotiate prices
- Create data, budgets, and reports regarding sales and marketing activity.
- Communicate with clients regarding satisfaction, documentation, and compliance
- Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
Account Management / New Business Development Representative Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree required
- Sale or/and marketing in plastics/packaging industry is a plus
- Technical knowledge in plastics, polymer, or chemical field is a plus
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to meet new customers and build relationships
- Must be able to communicate fluently in both written and verbal English
- Must be able to travel
- Must have valid driver’s license with a clear record
- This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
