Import/Export Agent - Freight Forwarder
An international freight forwarding company is actively seeking a skilled Import/Export Agent to join their facility near Atlanta International Airport.
- Prepare documents for Air and Ocean Export or Import operations in a timely manner, adhering to procedures and guidelines.
- Manage A-Z logistics, including emergency situations and route corrections.
- Communicate with clients and provide exceptional Logistics Customer Service.
- Coordinate with shipping companies, truckers, and vendors to arrange pick-ups and deliveries.
- Making arrangements for domestic railway/trucking shipping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in international import or export operations within the freight forwarding industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills for team environments and the ability to foster a positive team atmosphere.
- Flexibility to work effectively with diverse individuals and manage responsibilities in multicultural settings.
- Excellent communication (speaking, writing, reading, listening) and presentation skills.
- Able to multitask and perform duties efficiently.
- Team-worker, detail-oriented, responsible, punctual, self-motivated.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
This role requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and using hands to handle equipment. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision are also necessary.
