Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions, a leading recruiting firm for Japanese businesses, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join their client in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.
The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in industrial settings and expertise in quality control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise quality associates, including training, performance reviews, daily activities, and work assignments.
- Oversight of product quality assurance, investigations into quality issues, and determination of causes and solutions (RCA, CAPA).
- Act as point of contact for customers regarding quality issues.
- Documentation of quality assurance activities, such as MPR, PPAP, Quality Control Plans, etc.
- Ensure company standards and safety initiatives are met on the production floor and quality/testing lab area(s).
- Assist with preparations for quality audits and process improvement initiatives.
- Creation of miscellaneous activity and incident reports for upper management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Associate's degree in an Engineering or similar technical field preferred, or 10 years of equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years' of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of customer, industry, and state/federal quality standards; additional familiarity with IATF 16949 is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environments. While performing duties, you may be required to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks.
