Human Resources Supervisor - Automotive Parts Manufacturing (35442)

An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently searching for a motivated Human Resources (HR) Supervisor to join their facility in the Defiance, Ohio area. The ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources and leadership, familiarity with employment regulations and recruiting functions, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package.

HR Supervisor Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee recruiting functions such as screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, and coordinating new hire onboarding and training
• Provide information on company benefits, training / safety programs, worker’s compensation, etc.
• Address issues with employee performance, and identify routes to improvement and career advancement
• Research and keep up-to-date on changes in industry trends, market compensation rates, and local and federal employment laws
• General administration for the HR department—ensuring that documents are processed correctly, keeping accurate employee files and records, etc.
• Provide mentorship and support to HR employees
• Maintain and update employee records in company database(s)
• Other duties as assigned

HR Supervisor Requirements Include:

• Higher degree in a Human Resources or Business-related field preferred, OR equivalent training and work experience
• Minimum 3-5 years’ leadership experience in Human Resources, preferably in an industrial and / or manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated understanding of company, state, and federal laws regarding employment and HR standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters in a diverse work environment
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
