An international automotive parts manufacturing company is actively seeking a Production Operations Manager who has experience in manufacturing operations management in the automotive industry.
This is a full time, and direct hire position with benefits: 401(k), Dental, Health, Life insurance, PTO, Vision, etc.
Responsibilities of Production Operations Manager
- Lead and monitor general direction of the plant and provide business plan, strategies, plant budget, etc
- Manage team of department managements for all production functions, including safety, quality, process development, training, HR, from safety, cost-effective, and production-effective perspectives
- Oversee the current production performance and facilitate kaizen projects
- Ensure compliance with all IATF, ISO requirements, as well as federal, state, local regulations
- Ensure the plant follows established systems, procedures, methods, and controls
- Monitor customer releases and production schedules to maximize efficiency and timely delivery of products
- Plan and direct production activities based on weekly requirements
- Assist in resolution of production issues involving vendors, customers, quality representatives, and other personnel
- Build and maintain a professional relationship with team member for effective communication
- Assist with business plan and operations budget
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Production Operations Manager
- 3-5 years of experience in plant management
- 10 years of experience in automotive parts manufacturing plant
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership skills in a team environment and skills to bring a positive atmosphere to the team
- Ability to be flexible to work effectively with a wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment
- Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
- Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
