The full-service laboratory in the Agri- food industry in the Portland, OR is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager. The scientists are highly skilled and specialized in the fields of biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology, and other specialty services. With a broad range of staff experience, they provide cross-analytical solutions for the Agri-food and Life Sciences sectors.
Summary :
Portland location is currently hiring for a Sales and Marketing Manager. In this role one is expected to promote laboratories’ portfolio of services with a focus on strengthening their current business and approach to new clients and get new business.
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the sales function in an efficient and effective manner. Additionally, this opportunity is an integral part of providing “Service Beyond Analysis”, which includes total customer service management of a defined client portfolio, generating incremental sales to existing customers while increasing our overall customer count and revenue. The selected candidate will be involved in supporting the creation and execution of business plans that meet and exceed budget expectations.
Please note that minimum of 5 years experience in a laboratory in the Agri- food industry sales is required.
Responsibilities for Sales and Marketing Manager :
- Solicit new business opportunities for the company and identify sales opportunities to improve the corporate position in the market.
- Maintain strong relationships we have with our current customer listing.
- Implement account and / or category specific sales and marketing initiatives.
- Manage business relationships with assigned accounts and generate new business in alignment with our objectives and values.
- Support annual business and territory plans for assigned territories to achieve our annual budgeted sales objectives.
- Develop Sales & Marketing plan for next 1,3,and 5 years.
- Prepare category and business reviews and leverage insights to identify sales opportunities and improve our category position.
- Report monthly sales reports on status of sales target, ROI, market / competitor’s trends to top management in the monthly meeting. Quarterly and annual trends report also required.
- Attend industry workshops; be involved with professional associations and attend tradeshows.
- Monitor competitive market activity, continually gather and communicate competitive information, prospect for new business and capitalize on opportunities available in existing locations.
- Perform administrative duties where necessary.
